To All Guard and Reserve Members

If you were activated under Title 10 U.S. Code and have served on active duty continuously for 24 months, you may now be able to qualify for Montgomery GI Bill Active Duty Benefits. In order to qualify, you must:
* Have no active duty prior to 7/1/85
* Have been called to active duty under Title 10 U. S. Code after 7/1/85
* Have served a minimum of 24 months of continuous active duty
* Complete DD Form 2366 Election to Participate in the Montgomery GI Bill Active Duty Program
* Pay $1200.00 to DFAS to enroll in the Montgomery GI Bill program
Have Honorable service for your active duty period
Active Duty Benefit
* The Active Duty benefit currently pays 2-year enlistees up to $800 per month for full time training.
* The Active Duty benefit may be used any time up to 10 years after your last release from active duty.
* Active Duty claimants may be reimbursed up to $2000.00 for the cost of Licensing and Certification Tests.
* Active duty claimants may qualify for Accelerated Payment of certain high tech courses leading to employment in a high tech industry.
* While on active duty, you may also contribute an additional $600 to the Montgomery GI Bill program, which may increase your monthly payments by as much as $150 per month for full time training.
